The worlds greenest festival
No not Glastonbury, this is The Outsider, which starts today and finishes on Sunday.
This new event takes everything great from a music festival and outdoor activities and rolls them all into one great big festival arena, in the middle of the Cairngorms National Park, Aviemore, Scotland.
The festival will pride itself on attracting people that are interested in what happens to the world, rather than just consuming it, although they do state that they do have a good time in the process.
Who is playing there? Well there are a whole host of music acts, which include KT Tunstall and Crowded House, as well as cool new bands, DJ’s and other acts.
As well as the music there are many outdoor activities like, the Merida Outsider Mountain Bike event, Britain’s Most Beautiful Run, wildlife walks, gorge walking, rafting, canoeing and astronomy.
This may prove to be a fantastic alternative to other festivals that have become rather financial rather than festival.
