Recycling Jack-O-Lantern

by Brian Yalung on Saturday, October 18th, 2008

Halloween just would not be the same without the familiar sight of pumpkins like Jack-O-Lantern by the home. But Halloween comes just once a year and apparently if you had the choice, you want to make use of these pumpkins for the recurring season. However that is just not possible for naturally grown pumpkins.

So you throw it out the trash bin. But did you know you can recycle these used pumpkins? Here are some thoughts on what you can do after Halloween with old Jack:

1. Add your pumpkins to your compost pile
2. Bake the seeds for a healthy snack
3. Make a delicious pumpkin dessert
