Have you heard of this new hair care trend? Going shampooless.
Some argue that if you let your scalp re-balance itself, the scalp will produce natural oils that we all produce that shampoo strips away. So the argument is that you give your hair a break by not using shampoo every day and instead try a more natural solution. This will not make your hair dirty, greasy or look bad according to the article and those who are trying this new trend.
The all natural solution is as follows:
“Depending on the length of your hair, combine 1-2 tbsp. baking soda with 1-2 cups warm water in a glass jar and pour over wet hair in the shower, gently massaging to distribute the baking soda evenly. Rinse both hair and jar thoroughly. Next, combine 1-2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar with 1-2 cups warm water in the glass jar and pour over your head. Rinse immediately”.
So basically the solution calls for baking soda and water. That’s it. But some say adding a vinegar rinse helps with adding some shine to your hair as well.
Can you do this? Would you do this? Would a shampooless routine fly in your world. Tell us below.
I so could and will try this, especially now during these dry Winter months and see how it works for me. Will let you all know.
