Taiwan Addresses Endangered Sea Turtles

Adding to the growing list of countries who have acknowledged to go green and start conservation on wiser note is Taiwan. Known for being the leader in electronics manufacturing today, Taiwan has taken the initiative in turning to eco-tourism to help boost its conservation concerns today.
There are a lot of green concerns that Taiwan has to address. It is not merely a matter of conservation but preservation as well. They have their own share of endangered species such as the turtles and putting a foot down is the best way to help control this ever popular issue of eco-friendliness today.
“It’s quite a unique experience
to see a huge sea turtle coming ashore to nest. I have never seen an endangered animal before,” said Linda Wu, who joined the eco-tour in Wanan, part of some 100 islets of the Penghu archipelago in the Taiwan Strait.
Wu, a secretary from Taipei, has been so impressed by the visit that she is planning to bring her 11-year-old daughter to Penghu next year.
