Wattson Helps you Monitory your Energy Consumption

by Brian Yalung on Friday, October 31st, 2008

One thing that most people are certainly wary of today is how much wattage they are consuming in their homes. While they are seen to do the necessary and even turning to appliances that are lower energy consuming, it is still best to find some ways to properly measure the level of energy consumption that a household does before the electric bill comes in.

DIY Kyoto may have just the solution for that. In these times where monitoring electricity consumption is a definite must, they have unveiled the Wattson, a wireless device that lets families monitor exactly how much power they are using at home.

It costs around 100 pounds but considering its intent and use, at least a household can see if they are really saving or it is just in their minds.

“The whole idea is to save money and to save the environment,” Jason Goldman, of DIY Kyoto, told Reuters at the Stuff Live! show. “You find people try to get the reading down as low as possible.”
