“BAXIS” Take you Where you Want

Oil prices may be falling but that does not mean people should disregard the alternative transport solutions for global warming and pollution sake. For some countries, we see them as pedicabs or even perhaps as rickshaws. But for Wellington, there are christened as Baxis, a pedal-powered form of transportation that takes the design of modern pedicabs we have become familiar with.
Baxis, pedal-powered “pedicabs”, are operating during summer from the railway station to the Basin Reserve and all streets in between.
The low-slung, eco-friendly machines, resembling a modern version of a New Delhi rickshaw, were introduced last week.
