Nissan Unveils Electric Robot Car

by Brian Yalung on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

While we are seeing a large flock of electric cars slowly being unveiled in the market, Nissan has added a bonus by providing safety sensors. With this feature, not only is Nissan Motors providing an alternative mode of transportation for our depleting gas resources, it is also addressing the problem of lowering the rate of accidents that have been occurring in certain countries today.

“Electric vehicles have wheels that can move at various angles and so with this technology installed, the possibility of quickly escaping a crash or avoiding an obstacle increases.” Unveiled at CEATEC, a technology conference in Tokyo, the BR23C currently resembles more robot than car. It measures less than a metre in height and length and moves on three wheels fuelled by a battery-powered electric motor.
