We have yet another bamboo-inspired home for you, this time from H&P Architects. The latest structure joins the ranks of the Sot Bamboo Schools of Thailand as well as the Bamboo Community Center which only took $2,500 to put up, all interesting ecofriendly structures which should help out in shedding better light in the green architecture area.
Situated in Vietnam, the bamboo-built structure should be able to withstand the various natural calamities since bamboo has been known to be something that is sturdy as they go.
The BB Blooming Bamboo is made of bamboo modules which were all assembled by simply bolting, binding, hanging and placing the bamboo modules using a system which they call the monolithic architecture.
It is not only strong enough to withstand a 5 foot-high flood by rising and falling with the water, but it can also be built in just 25 days and ironically for $2,500 as well which is about the same cost that the Black Bamboo Community in Indonesia was.
