Recycled chairs.

by David Allen on Monday, May 14th, 2007

Have you ever wondered what happens to those old PS2’s? Well wonder no more, the Ree Chair by design house Pli Design based in London, UK, is a innovative design using of all things the casings from dead PS2’s, the design is nothing special, it is just the thought of all those PS2’s just sitting there dead as a Dodo, yet how everyone struggled to get one on the first xmas that they came out in.

chair

The frame of the chair is made from steel that has been coated with a steel powder that gives the rough feeling. The chair itself is designed to be recycled again after use, and the designers claim that each chair saves nearly 2.5 kg of plastic from a landfill site, which has to great.

The chair will be available from the beginning of September and will cost around £100 ($200).
