Unknown to many, one of the issues that Richmond Olympic Oval had to deal with during the Vancouver Olympics was the beetle infestation. This included one million of wood invaded by pine beetles. But rather than throw these damaged wood away, it looks like they will be turned into something useful in the form of these recycled Olympic furniture.
These beetle-infested wood will make nicely designed chairs. The chairs will allow for two versions with only a minimal increase in manufacturing costs.
