I know it’s Monday and not TGIF, but some workplaces and organizations have weeknight happy hours. So if you happen to be one of these places,go green by going local. Your local bar, pub, lounge – that is.
There are many ways to go green when it comes to drinking, but as with many other areas of our lives, usually the most eco friendly is the most basic idea.
In this case, it would be to source locally. Yes you can order an organic brew or biodynamic wine from Gary Vee – the wine TV guy. But why not patronize Joe down the street? He probably needs the business, plus he has already had a shipment come in from an out of town delivery truck and has already used up carbon miles. And guess what? Joe down the street is there for you, who else did he create this business for.
So go visit Joe down the street during your next Happy Hour, and leave the car at home. Oh! and bring friends, Joe loves that.
