Potable Water from Billboards

Now here is something you will certainly not see every day. Water is perhaps scarce in some regions like the Middle East but if this idea from Peru is any good, then perhaps drinkable water is within reach.

Actually, water can be distributed through the use of a billboard, another technology that promises to wow us. Aside from being an advertising element, the special billboard somehow transforms thin air into water, harvesting the moisture from the air using a filtration process.

The said billboard is capable of producing 25 gallons of water (about 96 liters) daily, a handy solution for places which are in dire need of healthy drinking water and of course the ones situated in warmer climates.

The technology was made possible by the Lima’s University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC)
