Biodegradeable plastic? Yes, with Wheatware.

by Missy on Saturday, August 4th, 2007

Found a great article that reviews Wheatware, a line of plastic cutlery that is made from wheat. The advantages of using this plastic cutlery versus traditional communly used plastic knives, forks, and spoons is that they decompose within 90 days when discarded and are made with renewable crops.

The line of consists of flatware to golf gear and other items. The prices of most of their items are low to moderate. The cool thing about purchasing and using biodegradeable products such as Wheatware, is that not only are you helping to reduce excess waste in our landfills, but also aiding in the reduction of dependence on forests and foreign oil.

There are other brands of similar eco friendly flatware and cutlery, feel free to use your own particular brand or give this one a shot.
