Philippines Business District to be Plastic-free by June 2013
The Philippines has slowly adapted to the plastic-free rant, seeing most cities doing away with plastic-based containers such as bags and cups to do their own share of helping improve the environment.
Philippine cities such as Muntinlupa, Quezon City, Pasay City, Las Pinas and Mandaluyong City has been doing it in an effort to curb down the plastic-waste issues but it looks like the big turn will come this June, 2013 when the country’s main business district, Makati, will fully implement a ban on the use of plastic and Styrofoam materials.
The move will cover all business establishments located around the business metropolis, an early call to warn the business establishments over there to make the necessary precautions and adjustments ahead of the June deadline.
