Mitsubishi Outlander Gains BS IV Certification

Mitsusbishi Motors may be quietly lurking and studying in the background. While is has not leaked any information with regards to its bet in the electric and hybrid vehicle binge, it may have a vehicle in the fold soon but focusing more on carbon emission issues above anything of the eco-friendly issues surrounding us today.
In case you don’t know what the BS IV certification is, it stands for Bharath Stage IV, referring to the emission norms set by Automobile Research Association. And with that said, the Mitsubishi Outlander has now safely used this certification to classify its popular SUV in India as eco-friendly which is sure to entice a lot of attention as far as the turn towards eco-friendly vehicles in the world today.
This Mitsubishi vehicle received the ‘AAEN0339’ certificate on 30th May 09. As discussed in the first half of the article, to protect the environment even the Government has to step up and introduce stricter rules and regulations that will keep a check on pollution. The Government of India brings in their BS IV emission norms that involves stringent rules to curb the pollution caused due to the automobile emissions.
Launched in India in October 2008, the Outlander currently carries a price tag of Rs. 20.75 lakhs ex showroom and also greets its customers in Petrol variants.
