Swimming is perhaps one of the best past times a person can get. However, with the way that open seas are being taken for granted, the need to distinguish on whether they are safe to dive or bathe in has now become a necessity.
And thanks to technology, yes there is now an app for that. The pollution warning app delivers real time warnings about pollution incidents on beaches, making sure that you don’t end up getting sick instead of getting some quality time out.
The app is a free service which sends alerts and text messages concerning the sewage discharges or storm water for close to 250 beaches located in England or Wales, a good start for safer swimming.
The app was made by charity surfers Against Sewage, a handy app which should kick off concerns by other groups who want to keep track of their own respective beaches.
