Are you wondering where to take your E-waste?

Major e-retailer Staples, has a recycling program in place for those who need to recycle their used computers, laptops, printers, faxes, monitors, and other e-waste. Just drop off and Staples will take care of in an environmentally safe way. Their is a $10 fee per large item, hopefully with time, this fee will be subsidized. Staples also accepts cell phones, pda’s, digital cameras, pagers, and rechargeable batteries and recycles these for free. To find a U.S. branch near you, visit here.

Staples Recycling Program

  • FREE – personal electronics like cell phones, digital cameras, pagers, pda’s, rechargeable batteries

  • $10 per large item – computers, laptops, monitors, printers, faxes

If you have used computers or big bulky monitors lying around, make a trip to Staples and do a drop-off sometime this week, after all it is Spring time and it’s a good time to clean up.

Drop me a comment and let me know of other alternatives for recycling e-waste in your hometown.
