Again, we all know the problems and bane plastic bags carry, especially if you talk about their proper disposal. Some have become biodegradable but there are certainly more plastic bags which carry a lot of issues, waste-wise.
Some have done the next best thing, turning them into something recyclable or in this case artsy. A prime example would be that of ‘Beads’, a community art installation which is located over at Zichron, Ya’akov, Israel.
By developing a new kind of sculpting method using old plastic bags Noa Mer and Tali Buchler were able to come up with something which even kids may easily understand. The bags are transformed into ‘beads’ which are strung together which in the end looks like a pendant necklace or chandelier.
