It seems that old lamps do have a place still, especially in Greece. Lamps are not spared from the usual life cycle and there are some lamps which find themselves being thrown away or set aside once they do incur some damages or problems.
However, those discarded lamps can become useful once again in a different “light” maybe part of exhibits such as this one being held in Greece. The exhibit is called the Before light Under a Different Light, a showcase of old lamps being reused together with other old lamps to form a stringed-chandelier over at the Thessaloniki district.
Local volunteers pieced together the lamps and complimented the setup with some live music to add new elements to the Mediterranean displays of street art.
