We have heard of furniture made from recycled materials but now it seems that a city is taking on the challenge. Of course that is not with reference to an actual city.
Rather it is the title, Can City, something thought of Studio Swine. Apparently this is a collection of furniture made of salvaged aluminum cans from the streets of Sao Paulo.
By working with waste collectors, Azusa Murakami and Alexander Groves from Studio Swine scoured the city for salvageable materials which they could turn into furniture. The result is a forward-thinking example of furniture designs that should not only be handy but also spur up some economic growth too.
