The Victorian Chair Eco Remix

A lot of old stuff like Victorian chairs in this case, would certainly require restoration at some point. Some would of course leave it to the experts, nursing old wood or replacing them to ensure that their overall make is retained. For others it may need some painting or varnishing too, something which would really require delicate and expert touch.
But for the Victorian Chair Eco Remix, a new and curious ecofriendly way of reconstructing them is reportedly being done. Prasanna Sankhe began with five-ply corrugated boards to make it all happen.
Sankhe folded the boards into boxy forms with a rigid backrest, producing a finished Hyphen seat that weighs about 2 kilograms which can accommodate about 120 kilograms on top. The new way of restoration should inspire modern methods of construction without compromising the overall quality and look of antique and vintage chairs.
