Carpets made from Fishing Gear

Here is a cool creation, something that once again takes into consideration the environment. NetWorks by Interface has launched a program in the Philippines’ Danajon Bank to collect tons of disposed nets and have reinvented them into useful and handy household items in the form of carpets or rugs.
Known as the world’s largest designer and maker of carpets, the new daily need should not only help consumers in their daily cleaning needs but also help do the necessary cleanup.
With the initiative, the folks behind it hope that come April, 20 tons of nets would be collected. Aside from that, they hope to establish a self-financing model to pay for the villagers net collection efforts.
