Cement bags are bound to be among the discarded materials you would find from construction sites, especially if all their contents have been emptied and used in the concrete making process. So where does that leave the cement bags? Ideally another addition to the garbage piles we are trying to manage these days.
But the case does not hold true over in Thailand where a company repurposes these old cement bags into sturdy looking tote bags. The company is Concrete Mode, producing these nifty looking bags which should aid as well in bringing down the CO2 emissions brought out by concrete consumption.
After a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, they’ve been at work producing the bags and have even tested out a prototype umbrella from the salvaged fabric.
