Cows thrive on recycled beer
The famous beer brewers of Suffolk Greene King are reclaiming the beer from their barrels and old beers that have been returned to be then forwarded on to farms who are giving it to the cows. However this beer is still going to be alcoholic but they still give it to the cows anyhow, stating that they still seem to like it.
Yet they say that it is recycling etc, but cows are the most un eco friendly animal around producing massive amounts methane, which is a very serious green house gas, and I would have thought that feeding them waste beer is not going make that situation any better, in fact it is more likely to get worse.
There are some strange things occurring around the world that go under the banner or eco friendly and green, it’s about time that there was “Green Standard” that everyone could stick to.
