Door mat made from old flip flops
There must be millions of pairs of flip flops made every single year, but when this foam rubber is cut to make the shape of the flip flop it is inevitable that there will be some excess pieces of this foam left over, but in the past this waste would have just been thrown away, such was the world that we lived in. But things have changed and so has the idea of using waste materials to make other items.
This is where the re:modern Flip Flop Mat has been created, from waste of some simple like a flip flop; a usable door mat has been created. But these are not just suitable as door mats, but could be used as play mats, bath mats, and even for children’s play areas.
The soft but versatile material is ideal for all of these uses and probably a few more that have not been mentioned, whatever the use it has to be better than the landfill. Each mat is made by hand and they are held together with a galvanised metal wire.
