Eco Friendly Monstrosity - Chair Made out of Plastic Bags!

You had to look, didn’t you? I warned you, as this is just ugly. Someone in the UK has decided to make a chair (more like a bean bag) out of plastic bags. Lots and lots of plastic bags. Read on below.

Ouch! Ugly Chair Made out of Plastic Bags.

The premise is that instead of thrwoing out the plastic bags you get at grocery shops, you put them in this net, and once accumulated, you have yourself a chair, to sit in. From the looks of it, i would gather about a few hundred or so bags needed. The price for this eco friendly monstrosity is $150 bucks.

While the end result might save some space in the landfills, the whole idea is a waste since people should use the shopping totes. It sort of promotes using bad products (plastic bags) to make an ugly chair.

That’s a pretty cool idea, but I don’t think I like the translucent net as the exterior.

Hi—-GHI:

Yeah, im not sure who the chair is marketed to. It isnt environmentalists, thats for sure. They dont use plastic bags at all. I guess it is the average middle america, who does use them, but doesnt throw them out.
Regardless, i think it would only look good in maybe, a college dorm room. That’s about it.

Hi—Matt:

The see-through net is meant to reveal the innards, which is a massive collection of plastic bags.

What is the latest in the futon world?

Missy.

I think this is cool. Rather than throw them, use them!

I think its quite ugly, couldn’t imagine something like this anywhere in my house, other than the basement. In some far off corner. But it serves as a GIANT plastic bag holder.

ITS A WONDERFUL IDEA! it costs landfills 100billion just to store these plastic bags! WE SHOULDNT BE USING THEM TO BEGIN WITH…but it all comes down to greety people…its cheap…! use totes! but in the other hand..its better then landfills or in the water! :D KUTOS!
