Eco friendly zippers, who would have thought
Of course it is not the zipper itself that is eco friendly, though there are no real reasons as to why not if they are plastic. But we are talking about the fabric that connects the zipper to the fabric; this is the eco friendly part.
The Ideal fastener corporation, who are one of the largest manufacturers of zipper, will be offering the eco friendly zipper called Ideal Earth Brand, which is supposed to allow clothing manufacturers offer a complete eco friendly when combined with an eco friendly fabric.

Please send me more information about these zippers. We sew our covers ourselves. The’re made with two zippered sides with a double flap enclosure. This makes them much easier to put on and take off as well as ensuring a snugger, cleaner fit. Covers are sewn so that the seams are as invisible as possible. If you want to know where the seams will fall on a finished cover, please call. On almost all of our fabrics we match the seams on the pattern to the extent possible. Our futon covers are designed to fit a White Lotus 6″ cornered futon. If your futon is not from White Lotus please call us to place your order.
