Help Make Home Insulation Out Of Your Old Jeans

by Missy on Sunday, November 9th, 2008

Who (reading this blog) has old jeans in their closet? Raise your hand. Let me tell you about a cool organization that turns your old jeans into home insulation.

At Access Cotton they have “denim drives”, where you drop off (or donate) your old pairs of jeans. All denim is accepted. No amount is too small.

The denim drives are held at local colleges and universities across the nation, and aside from being a fantastic way for you to recycle your old jeans, you can take pride in knowing that the insulation created from your old denim pants, will be used in new homes for Katrina victims in New Orleans.

So next time you clean out your closet, think about insulation. Well think about how those old jeans that do no fit or are seriously past their prime, have a new awesome life waiting for them.

Visit Access Cotton to find the next denim drive tour near you.
