What Can Used Trees Be Upcycled Into?

by Missy on Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

Wondering what used Christmas trees can be upcycled into? How about for fish habitats.

That is exactly what Christmas trees are being upcycled into in Riverton, Wyoming. A group annually collects them and then delivers them to the local fish habitat at Ocean Lake.

More than 7,000 trees have been placed since the Christmas tree recycling program first began. The trees are tethered down with recycled cylinder blocks donated by a nearby engineering plant.

Just goes to show us all how all sorts of materials that can have a second life, when creativity and resourcefulness enter the room.
