Philips Coffee Maker made from Recycled Parts

by Brian on Friday, September 2nd, 2011

For the coffee lovers, Panasonic offers an eco-friendly solution for you, particularly if you are a coffee drinker. To help promote their part towards abiding by its energy efficiency and recycling initiative, the Senseo Viva Cafe Eco should be a testament of the company’s goal towards providing eco-friendly consumer products.

The Senseo Viva Cafe Coffee Eco functions like any other coffee maker whose key feature is the fact that it was made from discarded electronics equipment and recycled plastic. The rest of the plastic components are 100% recycled while most of the metal parts are 45% recycled materials.

The eco-friendliness extends all the way to its packaging where it makes use of 90% recycled cardboards. The culture of the sustainable movement is also hard-wired into the machine itself. The coffee maker automatically goes into standby mode in just five minutes.
