Putting Street Kids to Work with Ffrash

Here is an interesting initiative, something which should keep the street children busy. Working with street kids over in Jakarta, Studio Ooms have come up with a dandy way to put them to work and produce rewards as well for their efforts.

The kids are apparently enticed to collect trash and other discarded materials which would be in turn re-used as materials for new recycled products. Not only is the initiative something which should keep them busy, it also somehow teaches them on the topics concerning recycling and sustainability.

Among the furnishings that they are able to produce include that of stools and vases, making use of old wood or even old light bulbs which should help shore up the waste problem and create new functional pieces which should certainly help out people in their daily needs.

At the moment, the team are still continually experimenting with designs from the many collected trash they have under their wing.
