Recycled Innovations Contest Kicks Off in Largo Florida
In Largo Florida a city contest is underway to solicit art made out of recycled materials, the Recycled Innovations Contest.
But they stipulate that the art has to be functional, as opposed to just something that one would hang on the wall. The actual point of this contest event is to divert waste which normally would end up in the local landfill in Tampa Bay. Need ideas? Check out the groovy photo above of an egg carton turned into an awesome lamp shade. That’s one idea!
Contest is open to residents with online photo submissions due by October 10th. Voting begins on October 15th and winners will be announced on America Recycle’s Day which is November 15th.
For more information and to submit your idea, visit Largo Recycles.
