A group of young collaborators are behind the latest addition to the Hackney City Farm, the Sill-to-Sill. The structure is built from recycled and reclaimed materials, something which will reportedly be used as the farm’s gift shop, information center and produce stand.
The team banded their efforts and minds together, making use of various recycled and discarded stuff to put up the said shop.
Discarded sash windows are repurposed and playfully inserted into the new facade. Wide sills become benches, counters, roof lights, notice boards or shelves that display plants and herbs while also bringing lots of natural light inside.
