Recycling Robot Sorts Plastic

Plastics are recyclable but the proper sorting seems to be a reason for not covering all plastic materials that can be recycled. But thanks to Mitsubishi and Osaka University, a robot can do all these accurately. They robot makes use of lasers o sort through all kinds of plastics very quickly. It has five different lasers that measure the reflectivity of each kind of plastic, allowing it to sort them all out.

The robot would cost $55,000 which may be the only setback this solution has. Well give it some time and perhaps we may see this idea put to good waste, especially if you talk about helping the world go green.
