Rent or Borrow Instead of Buying
There are a number of items that can either be rented or borrowed, instead of bought. Let’s take a look at a few and see if we can find even more.
According to reduce.org, “some of the most commonly rented items are trailers, lawn care equipment, tables and chairs, ladders, power tools, tents and tree trimming equipment“. Alot of these will only be used once or a few times a year, so why not rent from your local rental center or you can also borrow from neighbors or relatives. In fact, a really good idea would be to partner up with a nearby sibling or other (within distance) family member next time you’re in the need for say a power lawn mower (or a push mower), and the both of you could pitch in for the item, split the costs, one would store it, but you both would get to use it. So instead of two lawn mowers between the two families, there would be one.
