Used Vegetable Oil Powers Florida Charter Boat, Move Inspires Possible Tax Credits
With some adjustments and a local restaurant supplier, a Florida charter boat re-uses vegetable oil.
With the high cost of fuel, the Fort Myers, Florida charter boat run by Captain Ramsey Drummond almost went out of business. But Drummond decided to look into alternative fuel sources, and found a winner with bio-diesel.
With $2,000 equipment changes and cooking oil supplied by a neighborhood restaurant, Captain Drummond is able to stay float and at only $1.39 a gallon. Ahoy mate!
This news caught the eye of Florida Senator Bill Nelson, who was impressed by (energy and financial savings) so much, he wants to offer tax credits to people like Captain Ramsey Drummond, who seek out and use alternative fuel sources.
To stay abreast on news of biodiesel consumer tax credits, hit Google.

Wow, that’s great. At WindEnergy7.com we build and install wind/solar hybrid systems. We have kits starting at just under a thousand bucks for boats and sailboats to charge their batteries and run radios. We make small roof mounted wind turbines installed with a solar panel, thus hybrid wind/solar. Our professionally designed Do It Yourself kits are high tech, definitely the way to go. We have pictures at my site if anyone is interested. Wind Turbine Generator Kits
