Winter is not anywhere near over in most US cities, but soon it will be and this means time to put away Winter gear and or donate items that no longer fit. These items include coats, boots, scarves and hats.
The guys and gals at the Green Guide have a post on where you can donate some of these items and how to do so. Whether you have Winter gear that doesn’t fit or you simply plan to purchase new gear next year, if your items are gently used and in great shape – why not donate them instead. There are plenty of people who could use the basics such as a nice warm coat or a good pair of boots. This is not only a possible taxable donation on your part, but a great way to pay it forward and to be earth friendly all at the same time.
From coats to boots and hats and scarves; there are numerous places you can drop off your gently used items and help someone in need or simply a good way to recycle.
