Today i am going to do a series of posts on how and where to recycle a variety of household and/or personal care items. Let’s start with eyeglasses, as i have a few old ones lying around i need to recycle myself.

LensCrafters runs a charity called Gift of Sight, which it created in 1988, to offer “free vision care and eyewear to underprivileged individuals in North America and in developing countries around the world”. This program enables ordinary individuals to help aid those who cannot afford basic eye care and eyewear, by donating their old or outdated eyeglasses, and these are in turn made available to others who normally can’t afford them.

Help the world see, by recycling your older specs, get all the details at your nearest LensCrafters.
