Tennis phenom Venus Williams has recently announced that she has been diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome, an incurable auto immune condition.
To combat the symptoms of this disease, she is turning to an all raw vegan diet and her sister Serena is also joining her in the challenge. An all vegan diet is one that pretty much consists of raw vegetables and fruits with no cooking. When you don’t cook certain foods, they retain ALL their nutrient content. It’s one of the purest forms of eating and although not easy, it can and is done by millions from around the world.
Lots of older people adopt an all raw vegan diet to due numerous health concerns including high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, coronary issues and so on. The fact that Venus (and Serena) are including an all raw vegan diet should come as no surprise to those in the health community. We wish Venus the best in her new diet and with her condition.
