Have you considered non-animal based clothing or footwear?

by Missy on Sunday, August 19th, 2007

Chris over at Lighter Footstep wrote a great piece on why folks should consider animal-friendly clothing and footwear. Animal livestock operations and farming practices contribute a great deal of greenhouse gas emissions on our dear planet, more so than our automobiles.

As Chris points out it has become mainstream for manufacturers to create clothing and footwear that is not leather-based. There are many good durable, strong, healthy, clean alternatives such as canvas, jute, cork, straw, hemp, bamboo, and organic cotton.
