Africa is a country that is without a doubt a region that is in need of more sources of energy. And with the approval of a scintillating $5.4 billion investment, it looks like the country is in for a lot of renewable energy come 2016.
There were 28 projects approved, solar and wind farms among them and which are expected to go online between 2014 and 2016. The project promises to deliver more renewable and greener energy which should serve as the instigator as far as improving the economy of Africa.
This includes the creation of more jobs, with requirements set in place to ensure that energy companies use locally-sourced materials.
