Electric Bikes Go Solar

by David Allen on Thursday, February 12th, 2009

Electrically assisted bike are popular and have been around for some time now, but they are about to get a makeover with the introduction of a new solar power charging system. Powacycle will be including this into their range of bikes known as Infineum.

Obviously, the solar charger only operates when the bike is parked, but it saves the long term problem of having to find somewhere to plug the bike into a power point. However, at the same time, in order for the solar charger to work the bike is going to have to be left outside. What a dilemma!

Priced at $1,170

  • I think we're going to begin seeing much more of these types of products coming around. We can only hope that the price starts to drop making them more available to more of the population. still a little pricey for me....
