We have seen a couple of green innovations prior and at the moment in the 2012 London Olympics. But four years from now, it looks like the organizers for the 2016 Rio Olympic games may have their work cut out for them.
But if this is true, an energy-generating waterfall skyscraper may yet steal the show. Called the Solar City Tower, this is something designed by RAFAA Architecture and Design which features a large solar system that will be tasked to generate power during the day while a pumped water storage system takes its turn during the night.
RAFAA aim is to make the tower as an inspiration to start a global green movement and make the next Olympic event more ecofriendlier.
