Well this is not the first time we may have heard or read about alternative-powered street lighting but China seems to be on the move as far as adding these ecofriendly public lighting solutions.
The lamps are grid-connectible while at the same time sending excess collected power from its wind turbines and solar panels.
The turbines can reportedly last for as long as 20 years. It relies on LED technology for rendering illumination, something which can reportedly be reliable for about 8 to 10 hours daily.
The lamp will automatically start lighting when the environment becomes dark through the use of an intelligent sensor system.
