Various companies globally have in one way or another tried their best to come up with eco-friendly ways to improve operations and today we spots breweries over at Michigan trying to do the same. This is with reference to Arbor Brewing company who has decided to employ renewable energy as well as new strategies to be more energy efficient.
For starters, they have installed a 2.4 photovoltaic array on its rooftop, 300 solar thermal collector tubes, a high efficiency tankless water heater system, and new LED lights. With these new installations, gas usage is expected to be reduced by about 40 to 50% and electricity use by 15 to 20%.
They did spend a fortune for these new enhancements (about 345,000 for the two bases) but thanks to some grants and government programs, they were able to save some money for being more energy efficient.
