Solar Powered 3D Printer

Using only sun and sun, here is an interesting 3D printer that should solicit the creativeness using natural resources. The printer is solar powered where the suns rays are beamed onto sand which in turn produces a variety of glass shapes of various forms.
The solar printer comes from Markus Kayser and was on hand at the London Design Festival. The printer boasts of Fresnel lens, some photovoltaic panels, an electric battery/box covered with aluminum foil and a sun tracker to produce all those glass objects.
Kayser has expressed an interest in developing this technology to such an extent that it could be used to create sustainable construction materials for future buildings.
