Well here is a neat invention that binds technology with ecofriendly ideas. Seeing solar-powered stuff is common but when you mix it with some robotic technology, you know it has to be good.
The piece is a solar-powered and robotic raven, something built by a team of professors and students over at the University of Maryland. Christened as the Robo Raven III, the robot features large and flexible solar powered wings which cover a wide area to collect ample solar energy.
The flapping, micro air vehicle captures, converts and distributes the power it harnesses from the sun to the winged sheets, essentially ‘feeding’ itself during long missions and flights.
