Boats have their share of useful life as well but who ever thought that such could become part of a bigger picture, a home that is further enhanced with the integration of solar panels to produce a neat ecofriendly shed.
Such was the result created by Alex Holland who turned a 14-foot boat which he inverted to form the roof of the said structure. Not only that, he adds a green twist as well by placing a 20-W solar panel which is the chief provider of energy for the inhabitants.
To create the shed’s frame, the boat was fixed atop four telegraph poles. Aluminum-framed windows were salvaged from a 1940s caravan while the walls were made using a mixture of corrugated metal and wattle and daub.
