At least for Australia, the move towards cleaner and better energy distribution seems to be imminent especially with reports that solar powered plants are slowly taking over the from the peak power plants in use. And taking into consideration that peak energy is normally at its highest during the night time, solar powered plants can surely fill up the void.
But while that seems to be a simple issue, there is no actual measure on how much energy would be needed or demanded at night. And for solar powered plants, there is an issue on the amount of stored energy.
The wish now is hence pointed towards the storage of power that these solar power plants can give. Improving the storage amount should be a big boost especially since there is no telling how much power would be needed by consumers especially in the evenings or when darkness falls.
