One thing about the recent solar car designs which have come out is that most of them don’t have the privilege of space. Ideally, most are compact while some were made for two. But that doesn’t seem to be the case with Stella, a solar powered family car unveiled over at Netherlands.
Stella is the world’s first solar powered family car and was made possible through the efforts of 22 students. Solar Team Eindhoven is a four-passenger vehicle that gets its power from the sun and comes with a bunch of other technologies.
Stella gains further boost due to the materials to which it is made from. The car makes use of lightweight materials like carbon and aluminum which should make it easier for it to travel and last longer without consuming a lot of juice. The vehicle can go a max of 373 miles whose collected solar energy is reportedly more than what it would actually need.
